Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the list of projects funded under the 2025 National "Brain Science and Brain-Like Research" Major Science and Technology Program. The project "Study on the Promoting Effect of Sarcopenia on Vascular Dementia," organized and submitted by Associate Researcher Cai Wei from The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, has been awarded a Young Scientist Project grant under this program. This project is jointly submitted by two institutions: The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (the lead unit) and the School of Biomedical Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University.
