Open Positions

   Position: Full-time Research Staff

   Field: Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)

   Number of Openings: Several

   Required Background: Automation Science and Engineering / Intelligent Engineering / Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence / Biomedical Engineering / Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering, and other disciplines relevant to BCI research.

Job Responsibilities

   Conduct independent, innovative research related to Brain-Computer Interfaces.

   Collaborate closely with clinical teams within the Encephalopathy Center to integrate BCI technology with clinical needs, jointly applying for research grants and conducting studies.

   Supervise graduate students and progressively build and lead a research team.

Position Objectives

Leveraging the diagnostic and treatment platforms and abundant clinical resources of the Encephalopathy Center, the role aims to advance BCI technology research closely aligned with cutting-edge issues in brain science, facilitating new breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of brain disorders.

Qualifications

(I) Basic Requirements

1.  Compliance with the Constitution and laws of the People's Republic of China, with no adverse record.

2.  Good ideological and political quality, firm political stance, strong sense of commitment and responsibility, rigorous and realistic work ethic, dedication, and must possess good professional ethics and teacher's virtue (where applicable).

3.  Possess the professional qualifications required for the applied position.

4.  Physical and mental health, with physical condition suitable for the job requirements.

(II) Professional Requirements

1.  Solid background in Brain-Computer Interface technology development.

2.  Strong communication skills and team spirit, with a keen interest in collaborating with clinicians to solve practical problems.

(I) Career Establishment

1.  Eligible candidates may be directly offered establishment positions (Bianzhi) and qualifications as Doctoral/Master's Supervisor.

2.  For those initially appointed under contract, the hospital regularly conducts open recruitment for establishment positions. Those meeting the relevant criteria of Sun Yat-sen University and the hospital can apply for and be selected for establishment positions through competitive processes.

(II) Salary and Benefits

Competitive annual salary commensurate with talent category. Those eligible for introduced talent status may receive relocation subsidies and temporary housing.
