Dear Authors,
We are pleased to announce a special issue of Journal of Brain and Spine focusing on “Brain - Spinal Cord Interfaces and Brain - Computer Interface Applications”. This special issue aims to showcase cutting-edge research and advancements in the field of brain-spinal cord interfaces and the diverse applications of brain - computer interfaces (BCIs).
Brain - spinal cord interfaces represent a promising area of research with the potential to restore motor function and improve the quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other motor impairments. BCIs, on the other hand, have demonstrated remarkable potential in various domains, including assistive technologies for people with disabilities, neurorehabilitation, gaming, and human - computer interaction.
We invite researchers and scientists from around the world to submit original research articles, review papers, and perspective pieces that address various aspects of brain - spinal cord interfaces and BCI applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Novel brain - spinal cord interface technologies and methodologies
Advances in BCI algorithms and signal processing techniques
Applications of BCIs in neurorehabilitation and motor function restoration
Development of implantable and non - invasive BCI systems
Integration of BCIs with virtual reality and robotic systems
Ethical, social, and legal implications of brain - spinal cord interfaces and BCIs
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer - review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality and relevance. The special issue is scheduled to be published in September 15, 2025.
